TOUCHING FEET
It refers to an IAS officer of Bokaro (Jharkhand) touching feet of JMM supremo Shibu Soren after the high-profile leader was freed from the jail. It is surprising and regretting that Jharkhand government could not instantly act against the officer violating norms set for government-employees, even though the incident was aired by all the TV news-channels.
It is shameful to note that political leaders are buttered by their feet-touching even by people much older than their age. It is high time that norms may be set for political leaders which may include avoiding slave-like feet-touching by members of general public. Other norms should include ban on celebrating birthdays in public or through defacing city-walls by sticking of posters to congratulate (or to flatter) celebrity politicians.
